I never really was a fan of the color green, till I made an entire Pinterest board literally called "going green" (creative name cl). The color green in nature is such a mesmerizing beautiful sight to behold I absolutely adore it so much. There is nothing as beautiful as the color green in swamps, in the hills, in the trees, in pretty much everything. The color itself inspired to write a poem about a land that can never exist in my presence, but is something I truly desire. I hope you enjoy <4
ps: read this in a poetry tone or else it sounds hideous đź’€
pss: i found out what limelight roses were because of this poem
somewhere that’s green
is where this make-believe is situated
scented with the smell of freshly picked limelight roses
there is no exact location that I know of
other than somewhere that’s green
breathes there the animals who reside in this mono-colored utopia
the hills are very much alive
and with such elegance, the trees sway from side to side
it is a sight for sore, and busted eyes
this place that is green
a brown, brick composed cottage right around the corner
juxtaposing the grass-colored landscape
firmly built, being a spectator of this glamorous land
a beautiful green house structure
in this place that is green
the paths full of different flowers, insects accessorized to them
along with humming from the plentiful hummingbirds
all living a calm life full of harmony
in this place that is green
pondering about this land makes my heart so happy
my mind stays in a place of peace and comfort
it fills me with great joy, to think of a peaceful, quiet land
somewhere that’s green
every element of nature completing a task in unity
all forms of solidarity exist in this place that is green
parting ways with the rest of the world
it is so bizarre to be stationary
your only neighbor being the tall willow tree
to only be in this place that is green
unfortunately, this place of wonder only exists in my imagination
my feelings attached to it do not exist in the real world
this utopia that is green
